- Ensure the county does not weaken our Siesta Key Overlay district standards. Continue to lobby against any increased density and intensity.
- Continue our efforts for Zoning changes and Comprehensive Plan amendments to improve conditions for Siesta Key residents and neighborhoods. Our efforts are on-going and we are ever-vigilant.
- Continue to monitor county's plans for Siesta Key Public Beach storm-water improvements to ensure the County does not transfer ecological and economic problems from the beach to canals.
- Monitor the County Parks Department plans for Turtle Beach Park and Siesta Key Public Beach improvements.
- Work with county to improve beach and dune grooming practices to prevent erosion and damage to natural habitat.
- Ensure that our beaches are not negatively impacted by any new plan to dredge Big Pass.
- Obtain additional grants to beautify and improve Siesta Key.
- Work with the county to protect Siesta Key's natural environment, wildlife, and mangroves from destruction.
- Continue to seek traffic congestion relief during season.
