Paul van Deventer suggested this issue should be on the upcoming membership survey.

Inlet Management – Peter van Roekens: Big Pass continues to provide 5.5 ft. at MLLW on the route noted on the Sarasota Yacht Club site. All the marks are in place as Mike Solum has replaced BP2. There is some shoaling near BP5 & BP7 and the Boaters- Coalition has asked Mike to move these markers in closer to reduce the width of the marked channel. http://www.sarasotayachtclub.org/fw/main/Big_Pass_Information-405.html

Adopt-A-Road – Peter van Roekens: The pickup went fairly well although it would have been nice to have seen a few more SKA directors there. The Ocean Blvd. SKA/SKVA Adopt-a-Road on 24 May picked up 13 bags of trash. The following people made it all possible: from SKA - Joyce Kouba, Bob Tripp, Peter van Roekens; from SKVA - Denise McDonald & Pat Richmond (SunTrust), Cory & Brittney Ogg (friends of Denise), Troy, Julie, Alexa & Jamison Syprett (Daiquiri Deck/Speakeasy), Mark Smith (Smith Architects); from Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce - Charlie Valentine. Special thanks toTom and Kay Kouvatos for the volunteer breakfasts at the Village Cafe. The next pickup will be in the fall.

Code Enforcement – Gayle Wardner:The Chain link fence is still on Higel Avenue and the weeds are still on Midnight Pass. "No outlet" signs on south Midnight Pass have been moved for better visibility. Gayle and Ann will contact the County person in charge of the mowing contract.
